First, there were 36. Then only 18. And now there are six. We now know which six barista will be battling it out Sunday for the title of 2016 US Barista Champion. We’ve been covering this competition for years now, and we can truly say that this year, any of the 18 semi-finalists could have made it to Sunday.
The judges had their work cut out for them this year. We’re not sure how, but they whittled the field down to just six. And now those six have just 15 more exciting minutes before it is once again left in the hands of the judges to decide upon a winner. Here are the six finalists for the 2016 US Barista Championship and their scheduled routine times.
