2019 World Barista Championship Day Two Recap

We’re halfway through Round One of the World Barista Championship in Boston, Massachusetts, one step closer to the ultimate goal: crowning the 2019 World Barista Champion. 27 coffee professionals from all over the world will round out the field here today as we inch closer to the Semi-Final round.

With three stages going at one time, we’ll be continue to photo-document all the day’s goings on, posting them here and on Twitter at @SprudgeLive, so make sure you check back for regular updates. And check out @Sprudge on Instagram for even more coffee competition content from the World Barista Championship, the World Brewers Cup, and maybe even a cheeky sneak peak at the Expo floor. Our much-loved Live Tweet coverage of the event will begin once things get a little less crowded on Saturday.

All of SprudgeLive’s 2019 competition coverage is made possible by Acaia, Baratza, Faema, Cafe Imports, Wilbur Curtis, Third Wave Water, Minor Figures, and Mahlkönig.

In 2019 SprudgeLive is home to the Digital Roasters Village, because it takes a village to cover a barista competition. The Digital Roasters Village features Camber Coffee, Verve Coffee, Partners Coffee, Intelligentsia Coffee, Rishi Tea, Kickapoo Coffee, Blue Bottle Coffee, Onyx Coffee Lab, Creation Coffee, Amavida, and Equator Coffees without whom this work would not be possible.
