The Western Conference Barista Competition Qualifying Event is in the books and we now know the first six competitors to qualify for the 2016 US Barista Championship later this year in Atlanta. Today’s competitors certainly brought their A game, with a staggering nine scores of 300+ to only one such score from yesterday’s lot.
There’s still hope yet for the rest of the Western baristas, though. 24 spots are still up for grabs, to be awarded at the end of the week to the highest scoring competitors from the entire East/West field (sans the top six from each, naturally).
Our coverage is made possible by direct support from Urnex Brands. We’ll be back at it tomorrow to being the Eastern Conference Barista Competition Qualifying Event.
