2017 World Barista Championship Day One Recap

Day One of the 2017 World Barista Championship here in Seoul, South Korea is in the books! We saw 30 competitors from six different continents take the stage today for their 15-minute routines, each hoping to earn their way into the Semi-Finals on Saturday. Days one and two of this year’s WBC works a little differently than in previous years; all three of the barista stages could be going at a given time. Nonetheless, we figured out how to be in three places at once to capture all of the day’s action. It’s all happening at breakneck speeds, so try to keep up.

Sprudge Live at the 2017 World Barista Championship in Seoul is produced in partnership with our sponsors at Urnex Brands, Nuova Simonelli, Acaia, Baratza, and Cafe Imports.
